Welcome everyone and anyone who is here reading what is to be a long and hopefully continuous rant about designs, jewelry, inspiration and one's inhibitions to have the balls to say it like it is.
I guess a little about what I do. I make and design my own jewelry line. Yep that's about it. Now I do also dabble a bit with watches, but that's because it's like crack for me. I am my own one man team. I create the idea, sometimes sketch it, but usually jump into it with both feet.
A new creation generally starts with a hunk of melted gold. At that point I start the hammering, rolling, annealling, etc until I come to the desired shape or form. I have made rings, pendants, earrings and bracelets, generally using 14k and 18k ( but on the ocasion) using sterling silver. Most of my pieces have a earthy or organic feel to it. I love allowing a new creation to take a life of its own.
I will have to admit, a lot of my pieces (more often than not) the first intention of the piece or my main idea will take a turn and end up in left field of someone else's backyard if you know what I mean. However the end result is usually exactly what I didn't know would come out, and it looks good too!
On ocasion I will start with an idea and end with the same idea. Usually for special orders. However I really enjoy where the other projects lead me.
