So I'm on a lunch break and am listening to these two young ladies discuss something totally awesome. Ok, wait a minute, scratch the lady part. Two kids around twenty one, are drinking and the bartender is feverishly trying to get them drunk. The totally awesome discussion is about how fucked up they got last night and how they are not quite sure who they slept with. Her current boyfriend or her ex , that was at her girlfriends house last night.
Breaks like this make me realize just how lucky I am to have a great wife. She will always be the best and only for me.

So where to begin. Last I blogged, I had mentioned my new ink, well its dry. On to the next. I have gotten rid of the mini van and purchased a new car. "Yawn" ok onto something much more interesting.
I feel compelled to talk about my daughter's unwillingness to use the  potty. Compelled like I just ran out of vervain. Now going back seven years, I recall the difficulties in handling potty training with our first child. It took six months, possibly a bit more, and a parrot. Yes that's correct, a parrot. As for this child, I just don't know. During the last few summer months, she has taken a liking to running around naked on our back porch. Mind you, she has just turned three and we live in Upstate New York. In the woods.....Driving to town is now a phrase used in our household, so when I say the woods, I mean I could run around naked and no one would notice either.
Well this potty situation will have to be resolved shortly. Several days ago, my youngest asked if she could play on the back porch. As it is a large deck, about 25 feet by 45 feet, there is quite a bit of space for anyone to play.  She disrobed and asked if she could play naked. Her words " nakey nakey please" My wife obliged and allowed her to do so. We both sat and watched her. Five minutes in she said" I want my diaper back." Well red flag, red flag! Of course we didn't see it. My wife and I turned to each other and spoke nonchalantly about the next canning project she wanted to do, and BAM!!!

Yes that's right, the little one finally pooped without her diaper.....right on the deck.
And yes I cleaned it up.

Inked

After over twenty years of waiting and contemplating ideas, I have finally done it.
I have just been inked. I love my new tattoo and cannot wait to have it completed. At completion I will post a picture.

Well here we go now. It's Father's day 2013 and I am going to start a new theme and blog about just about whatever I want. My previous writing was about primarily jewelry and my personal designs. Having worked in sales for about 20 years now, this has given me a tremendous amount of ammunition to tell some very cool, outrageous and unbelievably funny stories. During this I will have my lovely wife chime in and add her two cents as well. Believe me she has her share of things to say as well.
About me well if you have read my previous blogs you just might have a little clue as to just who I am. In short, I am a husband, father, son, brother and friend. Boxing enthusiast, designer of fine jewelry, and lover of damn good scotch.

I suppose its time to start writing again. This however will be a little different than what I wrote before. It has been some time since I have actually designed something so the name of this blog shall change shortly.

To be continued...........

Ahhhhhhhhhh! The Holidays are here!

The holidays are here and retailers are ready to take your money!!! If you are going to go out and spend some of that hard earned money of yours, don't forget to check out your local shops and artisans.
Locally made products are always available without long lines and additional costs like shipping. Not to mention, you usually get a well made, original and authentic product.
Patronizing local shops and artisans can benefit you also by extending competitive prices and knowing that you are directly helping our much hurt and deflated economy.
We all know that we all hit the Targets and Walmarts and dept. stores in the mall, but if we make that extra little effort to buy at least some of our products (or produce for that matter) from the locals, EVERYONE benefits.

Come on out and see us on Thursday December 9th for

Handmade Holiday Hooplah.
Enjoy wine and Hor D'ouevres and wonderful handmade products from:

Melting silver

I have always prided myself on working my projects from scratch. Now that's not just picking up the phone and ordering sheets or wire stock and then on with it. I usually melt down raw silver and then hammer and anneal it till I reach my desired shape.

Just my latest design for the guys. Now the chics can style it too, but it was meant for the dudes.
We have 18k rose gold rings and 14k solid white gold curved bars connecting one another. This gives off a conservative look while maintaining a feeling of style and class.

Well on with it.

Welcome everyone and anyone who is here reading what is to be a long and hopefully continuous rant about designs, jewelry, inspiration and one's inhibitions to have the balls to say it like it is.

I guess a little about what I do. I make and design my own jewelry line. Yep that's about it. Now I do also dabble a bit with watches, but that's because it's like crack for me. I am my own one man team. I create the idea, sometimes sketch it, but usually jump into it with both feet.

A new creation generally starts with a hunk of melted gold. At that point I start the hammering, rolling, annealling, etc until I come to the desired shape or form. I have made rings, pendants, earrings and bracelets, generally using 14k and 18k ( but on the ocasion) using sterling silver. Most of my pieces have a earthy or organic feel to it. I love allowing a new creation to take a life of its own.

I will have to admit, a lot of my pieces (more often than not) the first intention of the piece or my main idea will take a turn and end up in left field of someone else's backyard if you know what I mean. However the end result is usually exactly what I didn't know would come out, and it looks good too!

On ocasion I will start with an idea and end with the same idea. Usually for special orders. However I really enjoy where the other projects lead me.
